Located in Barangay Salindeg, Vigan City is a mini-zoo owned by Gov. Chavit Singson where his private collection of exotic animals endemic to the Philippines and other animals from all around the world is open for public with free admission.
For animal-lovers, the place offers a close-up encounter with the animals wherein you can touch them, feed them, ride and carry them for picture taking unlike other zoos. Some of the animals displayed are lions, tigers, deer, llamas, and other land animals, ostriches, parrots, peacocks and other birds, butterflies, fishes, iguanas, snakes and other reptiles.
Kids would surely enjoy riding “tiburin”, a small horse-drawn carriage and taking pictures of the structures of dinosaurs. Entrance fee is totally free so the place is very ideal for a large group tour. Seminars, conferences, and other programs are also being conducted in the place.
